It's played in real-time with all players rolling dice and taking actions simultaneously. You must roll the right symbols to enter a room and if you're at an open doorway, you can roll to reveal the next tile in the stack and add it to that doorway. Some rooms also contain combinations of red and blue symbols.
If you (possibly working with other players in the same room) roll enough of them, you discover magic gems, which you would move from a separate gem depot onto that tile. This real-time game is played using a CD soundtrack that at certain times starts a countdown. Any player who doesn't make it back to the safe room before the end of it loses a dice.
All players must escape through the exit tile before the third and final countdown otherwise everyone loses the game.
